About Full Stride Running
Run Strong. Age Well. Enjoy the Journey.
Full Stride Running is built for runners over 40 who want to keep improving—without burning out, breaking down, or losing the joy of running.
If you’re like most runners in this stage of life, you’re balancing training with work, family, and everything else that comes with it. You don’t have time for complicated programs or high-risk training approaches that leave you sidelined.
You want something that works.
Why Full Stride Running Exists
Most running advice is designed for younger athletes.
More intensity. More volume. More everything.
But after 40, that approach often leads to:
nagging injuries
inconsistent training
frustration from stalled progress
Full Stride Running takes a different path.
This is about sustainable improvement—training that helps you:
build endurance
maintain speed
stay healthy
and actually enjoy your running
The Philosophy
At its core, Full Stride Running is built around a simple, proven structure:
One quality session per week (tempo or intervals)
One long run to build endurance
Everything else easy to support recovery and consistency
No unnecessary complexity. No burnout cycles.
Just a system you can follow week after week, year after year.
Because for masters runners, consistency beats intensity every time.
Who This Is For
Full Stride Running is for:
Runners over 40 training for 5K to marathon
Former competitive runners getting back into it
Recreational runners who want to improve without injury
Anyone who wants a clear, simple plan to follow
If your goal is to run better while feeling better, you’re in the right place.
About Me
I’m Dan Moriarity.
I’m a 57-year-old runner who’s been in the sport for decades—from competitive racing in my younger years to finding a more sustainable approach today.
Like many runners, I’ve learned the hard way:
what works
what doesn’t
and what actually lasts
These days, my focus is simple:
staying consistent
training smart
and continuing to improve without sacrificing health
Full Stride Running is where I share what I’ve learned—so you can skip the trial and error and get straight to what works.
